How to get past
exam nerves
I've seen very well-prepared students fail because of nerves and less confident ones pass because they stayed calm. Nerves matter enormously.
Rest beforehand
Your biggest enemy on exam day is tiredness. A good night's sleep does more than three more hours of cramming. Go in rested and your hands are steadier.
Breathe and slow down
When the nerves hit, breathe deeply a few times and do everything a second slower. Rushing means mistakes. Treat the exam like an ordinary driving lesson, one you've done dozens of times.
The exam doesn't ask you to be perfect. It asks you to be a safe driver. And you already are.
Rehearse the route beforehand
A prep session a few days before shows you exactly what to expect and cuts the fear of the unknown. You go into the exam knowing you've done this before.
