wedding budget without surprises

A realistic budget doesn't ruin your wedding; on the contrary, it lets you enjoy it without worry. Here is how to build it and where the costs hide.

Start from the number of guests

The menu and drinks per person are the biggest item. Once you know how many guests you'll have, half the budget is already shaped.

Don't forget the small costs

Stationery, decor, transport, accommodation or tips seem small on their own, but they add up. Put them on the list from the start, so they don't appear at the end.

Leave a ten percent reserve for the unexpected. It almost always gets used.

Decide where to save

Not everything needs to be premium. Choose two or three things that matter most to you and invest there, and go for sensible options on the rest.
